Urban Cottage 12th Annual Holiday Open House During "Duck Jazz Festival" Week Oct 7-9 2011

Join Urban Cottage at Scarborough Faire for our 12th Annual Holiday Open House, Friday thru Sunday, October 7-9 from 10 am to 6 pm Columbus Day Weekend for a festive collection of Holiday Décor and Gifts. Little elves decorate the store with unique Holiday decorations and gifts. Featured this year will be local artist Jessie McClary with her whimsical line of hand painted peppermills and accessories plus a trunk show on Saturday with artist Glenda Payne showing her colorful hand-painted ornaments, wine glasses and canvases. Refreshments and hors d'oeuvres will be served throughout each day, we'll have a special 20% discount on all custom furniture orders plus select in-stock furniture and accessory items will be marked down as well. Quantities are limited and the hottest items sell out quickly, so come early.

2010 Jazz Festival Set for Sunday, October 10 with headliner Joyce Cooling and special guest co-host Gerald Veasley

The 4th Annual Duck Jazz Festival is set for Sunday, October 10, 2010. The festival will be held at the Duck Town Park, 1200 Duck Road, beginning at 11:00 a.m., with the gates set to open at approximately 10:00 a.m. The event is free and open to the public, and has attracted nearly 5,000 visitors in years past. Please bring a picnic, beverages, chairs, or blankets. No beach umbrellas or tents are permitted at the event. Food concessions will be provided by the Duck United Methodist Church in the picnic shelter and chairs will also be available for rent.

Philadelphia-based jazz musician Gerald Veasley is set to co-host the 4th Annual Duck Jazz Festival. Veasley, who was the Festival headliner in 2008 and played with Jimmy Bruno at the first Duck Jazz Festival in 2007, will co-host a series of events throughout Town prior to the festival.
